Synopsis
Just friends.
We’re just friends.
No, really. She’s just my best friend…
Arizona Turner has been my best friend since fourth grade, even when we “hated” each other. We’ve been there for one another through first kisses, first “times,” and we’ve been each other’s constant when good relationships turned bad. (We even went to colleges that were minutes away from each other…)
Throughout the years, and despite what anyone says, we’ve never crossed the line.
Never thought about it.
Never wanted to.
Until one night changed everything.
At least, it should’ve …
Just friends.
We’re just friends.
I’m only saying this until I figure out if she’s still “just” my best friend…
5 -“Love when the lead characters finally admit they’ve been in denial stars!”
I loved this story!
The characters were great, and the writing really good.
Carter and Arizona were such fun, wonderful characters to read.
I loved their history. How they started their relationship hating each other
and then becoming best friends.
The trust and friendship they’ve had since 4th grade (possibly 5th grade according to Carter).
.. and when they finally ‘look up’ and realized how attracted they are to one another (and not in a friend way)
they both fight it tooth and nail…until they can’t fight it any longer…and then this story becomes sizzlin’
This is where the story gets really good.
Carter and Arizona struggle to understand their new relationship, and also how their feelings have changed for one another from love as a friend to falling in love.
This is the first book I’ve read by Whitney G. and it certainly won’t be my last.
The only thing I would have really, really liked for this book would have been an amazing epilogue… but that’s just me. I’m literally an epilogue whore.
