“5 – finding your own path stars!”
I absolutely adored Porter’s story!
This novella features the youngest child of Noah and Ryleigh Prescott who we were introduced to in From the Beginning.
This story is of Porter’s journey from the age of 16-18 years of age.
Porter’s journey is not an easy one.
He comes from a very close, tight-knit family of extremely talented hockey players and over-achievers.
There is also an eleven-year difference between him and his oldest sibling.
He can’t seem to find a place where he fits in because he feels like he’s a disappointment to his family or he’s being compared to his older brothers by his peers.
At the beginning of the story, we see a Porter who is hanging out with the wrong kids at school, and making all sorts of bad decisions.
He’s constantly in trouble at school, and eventually with the police.
There is one thing he can rely on, and it’s his passion for hockey.
It’s the one thing he can’t live without.
It’s the one thing that makes him feel whole.
By the end of the story, we see a more mature Porter who knows what he wants and is working hard to get it.
I loved this story, and can’t wait to read the next book to see where his journey takes him.
